ACTA is what the government were hiding. SOPA and PIPA were just a cover story for this one. 

ACTA isn’t the European version or anything like that. It’ the GLOBAL version. It will apply to every country that signs the treaty.

It affects more than just the internet too. It’s more aggressive, it measures to go as far as surveillance of anything you share through private channels.
It doesn’t have a huge campaign against it yet, that’s why everyone that wants to keep their tumblr should sign the petition! 

It has affects on healthcare, trade and even tourism.
